Jonathan Koelsch has been illustrating professionally since graduating with honors from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. Jonathan also attended Kansas City Art Institute for two years.

Winner of several Addy awards and other accolades, Jonathan's success is derived from the high degree of satisfaction of his clients. He considers himself an illustrator, although he incorporates design into his work as well. His clients include many reknown national and regional advertising agencies, corporations, and institutions.

Jonathan has been illustrating digitally, on a Macintosh computer and Wacom tablet since the year 2000. His art can therefore be delivered through any electronic form, including his FTP site, web site, email, or CD. Projects in progress can be viewed online by the client as well.

In 2002, Jonathan colored and lettered the !Hero Graphic novel, and illustrated the !Hero Rock-Opera Tour poster and Comic Covers for the !Hero music ensemble, which features music by Christian artists Michael Tait (dcTalk), Mark Stuart (Audio Adrenaline), and Rebecca St. James.

In 2004, Jonathan pencilled, colored and lettered The Truth For Youth Bible comics in a manga (Japanese/Asian) style.

Jonathan is also working for Community Comics, pencilling, inking, lettering, and coloring a variety of comics.

Jonathan has been married since 1999 to his wonderful wife, Tammy, and lives in Oklahoma City. He credits his wife, family, friends, and especially God for his success. Jonathan's faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord has brought him success, deep fullfillment and inner peace, and is the reason for his immense enjoyment in pursuing his craft.
